However, generally speaking, an ERP implementation takes a minimum of 6 months. If your company is small and nimble, it may take only 2-3 months. But don’t be surprised if your ERP consultant tells you it may take 2 years or more for full deployment. Again, it depends on a variety of factors.

How Much is All of This Going to Cost?

This is another question that depends on the size of your business, the complexity of the system that is installed, the number of end users, and more. A small professional service organization requiring a basic implementation will end up paying considerably less, while a mid-sized manufacturing company may end up paying anywhere between $150,000 – $750,000. (However, that’s the range for an on-premise implementation. Cloud-based solutions tend to save businesses considerable amounts of money.)
