SAP Business One Cockpit Management

In this course of MCG University, we will show you how to enable and work with SAP Business One Cockpit capabilities. This session takes a closer look at Cockpit Management and will explore features such as how to enable Cockpit for the SAP B1 Company, exploring the Widget Gallery, creating and assigning cockpit templates, organizing cockpit tiles, and browsing Widget Setup.

How to Enable and Work With the Cockpit

  1. Check and confirm that the cockpit has been enabled by navigating to Administration > System Initialization > General Settings

Another way of checking if the Cockpit has been activated, check out this option under the Tools Menu

Getting to the Widget Gallery

  1. Click the Plus (+) button located in the center of the screen
  2. This window will list all available widgets

Adding Widgets to Display

  1. The plus (+) button on each tab can be used to select the widgets you want displayed
  2. Move the tiles around to the desired position within the main window

Saving Your New Cockpit

  1. Click on the check mark found on the top right-hand side of the window to save the changes
  2. Click Save As or Update the Current Cockpit
  3. After selecting Save As, write the name of the new template in the pop-up window
  4. The New Cockpit will be displayed after updating

Navigating Through the Cockpit

  1. To navigate trough all the cockpits created in the system and to select the desired one to be used, go to Tools > Cockpit > Cockpit Management
  2. Select the desired Cockpit and click Publish. This will allow the new Template to be available for everyone
  3. To update widgets, such as the Browsers, go to Navigate to Tool > Cockpit > Browser Widget Setup
