Using Microsoft 365 Portal

In this course of MCG University, we walk through some helpful tools when using Microsoft 365 Portal. Our video this week demonstrates a quick tour of the Microsoft 365 Portal. We show you different applications that you might find within the portal and how to access them. This portal is available for users with a Microsoft 365 license. Furthermore, the portal can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.

Getting Started in Microsoft 365 Portal

  1. Open your preferred browser (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  2. Navigate to Portal.Office.com

Signing In

  1. Enter your work email address.  Example: YourUser@YourDomain.com
  2. Enter your password on the next screen

If prompted for a second authorization, please follow the steps. If you need to setup second factor authentication for your business to increase your users’ security, please contact us at www.MichellGroup.com

Portal Main Page

  1. On the left side of your user account display, you will see all the applications available
  2. On the top left side, you will find the App Launcher, which allows you to navigate through different applications and back to the home page
  3. In the middle of the page, you will find the Search Bar, which allows you to look for documents and files

Installing Microsoft 365 Applications

  1. On the top right side of the Portal, you will find a dropdown named “Install Office”
  2. Here you will be able to install Microsoft 365 applications on your local computer

Managing Your Settings

  1. On the top right side, you will find the settings gear that will allow you to change various settings
  2. These settings allow you to change your theme and password and gives you an option to update your contact preferences
