Reasons to Move from Infor to SAP Business One

Although the ‘Infor Distribution FACTS’ software has been End of Sale for several years, Michell Consulting Group (MCG) has continued to support FACTS as part of our commitment to our customers. We believe that to allow our customers to spend resources on outdated software is not to their best interest.

Given the quick-paced evolution of technology and operating systems, software applications are consistently being patched, updated, and upgraded. This, oftentimes, results in leaving older software applications incompatible and potentially incapable of properly functioning altogether.

At MCG, part of our commitment to our customer’s success is to eliminate the utilization of obsolete software solutions, and in doing so, limiting your business’ exposure to increased security vulnerabilities, possible violations of industry certifications and failed compliance to industry requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, among others.

Additionally, it is a known fact that once old hardware is replaced, legacy applications tend to lose their ability to function or fail when used in combination with newer hardware. Our job is to prepare for these risks ahead of time.

FACTS has been an integral part of your business and any replacement process may appear to be a complex at first glance. However, we are committed to you and your business and we have partnered with SAP to develop our Safe Passage Program for those customers currently using ‘Infor Distribution FACTS.

This special migration path program will be available until December 31, 2019, and is the only program of its kind in the market today.

The Safe Passage Program has been tailored to assist your business financially, ensure an easy and smooth transition, and minimize the risks that come with implementing a new ERP Solutions by offering special discounts on software licenses, fixed-fee implementation, free data conversion, and free ‘Business Needs Assessment’ to address any gaps or enhancements that may be required.

In order to effectively execute these changes, it is imperative that we begin by scheduling a one-on-one meeting where we will work to develop a personalized transitional plan for your business.

Nonetheless, due to the number of customers currently using ‘Infor Distribution FACTS’ and our overall commitment to ensuring a seamless transition, this transformation is being introduced in several phases as described below:

Phase 1 (August 1, 2019, through September 30, 2019)

  • We will focus on creating a detailed analysis of your business’ environment today in order to better understand all current processes and determine which SAP Business One solution is best equipped to meet your business requirements.

Phase 2 (September 1, 2019, through October 31, 2019):

  • We will present the new solution and explain how it will address your short-term and long-term business goals. Please note that during this phase we will also request your signoff once a proposed solution is established and agreed upon.

Phase 3 (October 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019)

  • We will install and test the new system, train your staff, and validate that the system in place is effectively handling all processes.

Phase 4 (starting January 1, 2020):

  • We will be offering post-go-live support to ensure your business has the reinforcement necessary to thrive with your new EPR solution.

In light of this, please note that modifications requests should be limited to address critical business functions. Our goal is to stop accepting new modification requests by September 30, 2019, and although we will continue to support FACTS it will be done on a “best efforts” basis, we will no longer be integrating new patches or updates to address software bugs.

Additionally, please note that ultimately our support capabilities will be limited, and this will impact overall service costs. In doing so, MCG will maintain its focus on improving our clients’ experience by delivering quality support of Enterprise-Level Business Applications, which are best aligned with today’s demanding business arena and facilitate improved integration with solutions like: Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Mobile Applications, IoT, Cloud, all of which have become standard business practices.
